Founded in 1933, San Francisco Ballet has a history of pioneering American dance, staging the nation’s first full-length productions of Coppélia, Swan Lake, and Nutcracker. Led by Artistic Director Tamara Rojo and accompanied by its own orchestra, the company commissions groundbreaking works while presenting modern classics and the canon of ballet.
